It hadn't been a satisfying reading for me. The infos given wasn't contemporary. Also the language wasn't fluent enough too. Feb 13, Ivan R. I get that there isn't as much information in historical sources, but since this includes contemporary history, this lacking is pretty much inexcusable.

At times funny, at others shocking, the book was obviously written and compiled by knowledgeable people and written with a sort of tongue-in-cheek banter that makes for easier reading and comprehension. Highly suggest this book for people looking into sexual diversity and the issues surrounding it for the first time, and for those who know a little more on the topic, the book is fairly comprehensive in its citing of outside research.

In short, marvelous read for both academic, and non-academic research. This is an excellent little resource, it's a short book but it packed with information and is pretty comprehensive. If I had to recomend one book to people about "queer issues" it would be this one. Nov 05, Jessica rated it really liked it. I really learned a lot from this book. It has a lot of information in it, and it's fairly easy to read because the language isn't jargon-heavy. Jun 30, Kathleen O'Neal rated it it was amazing.
